Dog-friendly Camping & Caravan Holidays

Here at Deer’s Glade we understand that dogs are part of the family. So, why shouldn’t they also have the opportunity to enjoy a family holiday in Norfolk with their owners? That’s why each of our camping and caravan sites is dog-friendly.

Dog-friendly Camping & Caravan Holidays

Dogs Welcome at Deer's Glade

We hate to see those sad puppy eyes when the luggage is packed and loaded into the car ready for the latest trip. It definitely pulls at the heartstrings. That’s why we accept dogs on-site at Deer’s Glade Caravan & Camping Park, Deer's Mead and Muntjac Meadow. All we ask is that dogs are kept on their leads rather than roaming free. Without a lead, we guarantee those smells of bacon and sausages frying in the morning will get their little noses twitching and before you know it your pooch will be off to investigate the lovely aroma.

Where your Dog can Stay

Guests are welcome to bring their dog or dogs for £1 each (just let us know when booking) to stay at any of the camping or caravan pitches. Our Luxury Glamping Pods are also dog-friendly, as are our cottages, The Hare and The Fox. The only accommodation that we unfortunately can not accept dogs are the Mega / Camping pods, Shepherd’s Hut, and the Bell Tents.

When staying at one of our Lakeside or Woodland Luxury Glamping Pods, we also provide a doggy welcome pack that includes a blanket, towel, and bowl for the duration of their stay (not to be taken home), as well as a packet of Pooch’s treats for them to enjoy. These are only supplied, however, if we are aware of a dog staying. So please let us know.

What to Expect on a Dog-friendly Holiday at Deer’s Glade

You’ll find lots on-site to keep your furry friend happy. Enjoy walks through rural North Norfolk or take a trip to the coast. There are plenty of beaches with allocated areas available for dogs to walk. During peak season we’d suggest double-checking as some areas of the beaches will be off-limits when it’s busy.

If you don’t fancy taking your dog off-site, you’ll also find easy-to-access local field and woodland walks to keep them happy as they go about their daily business. You’ll find several doggy poo bins dotted around the site for disposal. We obviously expect our guests to pick up after their pets and be considerate of others.

As mentioned dogs need to remain on lead, however, at our wild campsite Muntjac Meadow all guests have access to an allocated fenced-off paddock for dogs to enjoy some freedom and meet up with buddies.

Water is always available outside reception. You’ll also find doggy treats including specialist local Pooch’s biscuits and even Frozzy’s doggy frozen yogurt pots from our shop. Perfect for a hot sunny day.

Meet Maverick & Sadie

Our very own Deer’s Glade furry pals. Maverick is 7 years old. He’s a cocker spaniel with a loving and excitable personality. Guests will often spot him enjoying the outdoors, parked up at the side of reception enjoying the country air awaiting owner (and General Manager) Elliott’s return. Maverick has now also been joined by the lovely Sadie. A youngster who is just learning the ropes. Maverick was unsure to start but now he’s loving having a buddy.

Book your dog-friendly stay here. Don’t forget to send us your doggy photos or tag us on Instagram or Facebook. We look forward to welcoming you and your pooch soon.
