As a holiday park, we receive some amazing feedback from our guests but we’re always looking to offer more, in particular, we’re big on making improvements year-on-year based on what can enhance a guest's stay and what’s new on the market. There are big plans for 2025 and we’ve already made a start. Here’s what we’ve completed so far ready for January.
Extended Shop & Self-Service Coffee

First is our extended shop and coffee area which we’ve been renovating for the past few weeks. We’ve knocked through to what was once a storage area to allow for space for more local produce and to build a bespoke area to house a new and rather impressive self-service Lavazza coffee machine. By re-purposing the back room and incorporating the space into the Deer’s Glade shop and reception area, we’ve been able to create a small space for indoor seating. As a result we have installed a large floor to nearly ceiling fridge and are selling more locally sourced products, including wood-fired, hand-stretched Eric frozen pizzas and an improved array of Norfolk wines.
Improved WiFi
Being in a rural setting WiFi has always been tricky. Some of our guests are happy to switch off from the digital world, but for some we know that it can be a pain at times. So, from January 2025 we have some great improvements to our WiFi for those who wish to have instant access. As anyone can imagine, in rural settings this isn’t easy to set up so for those who wish to improve their access our improved high-speed WiFi will be available to purchase as an add-on. Fully Serviced Pitches
Back in Easter 2024 we added one fully serviced pitch to our touring options and we found there was lots of interest. It’s been in such high demand that we’ve now created an additional eight fully serviced pitches for our touring guests. The fully serviced pitch includes water supply, mains drainage, TV connection, electrics, and a 9m x 6m hard-standing gravel area for your caravan or motorhome.

New Hot Tub at our Cottages
Hot tubs are definitely in demand from our guests. For Easter 2024 we added hot tubs to some of our accommodation at the holiday park. The newest addition is at our holiday cottage The Fox. The Hare has had a hot tub for a while so it only seemed fair to add a new electric hot tub at The Fox also. The four-person hot tub is now housed in an outbuilding in the garden making it easy to use no matter the weather.
Outdoor Kitchens Added to Glamping Pods
As glamping is in essence a more glamorous camping option we wanted to ensure that the most can be made of the outside space and in the open air. We’ve now installed outdoor kitchens at both the Luxury Glamping Retreats and the Mega Pods. The stainless steel outside kitchen includes a gas BBQ, with a single gas hob as well as prep space and sink. The Retreats are already fully stocked with crockery and cooking utensils, however, the Megas worked on a more bring-your-own basis. We’ve now equipped the Mega Pods too with cooking and dining equipment as well as now including bedding and towels as standard. As we’re hoping our guests will be able to make more use of the outside space, we’ve also added a little extra privacy to the Mega Pods by installing woven hazel screen fencing.
These extras are just the beginning of the new year! We still have an impressive list of additions coming to the site ready for Easter 2025… including an exciting new style of glamping for you to enjoy. We’ll be updating you soon on the specifics and when booking will be available for what’s coming next!
