Let the season commence! Not long now until the Easter holidays. Easter is a little earlier this year with Good Friday on the 29th of March. As always this time of year comes around super quick at Deer’s Glade. So, we’ve outlined some suggestions for things to do in the Easter holidays onsite and nearby.
Things To Do On & Around Our Holiday Park
Not long until we start to welcome back our returning guests and meet new faces for those soon to visit.
We’ve been spending the winter months, performing our annual site maintenance, but this year we’ve been making some even bigger changes to our holiday park. Some of you might already have booked to stay in our new luxury glamping pods complete with hot tubs, or one of our mega pods complete with a new wood-fired hot tub.
For those signed up to enjoy the camping experience, or park up their caravan for the first outing of the springtime, you’ll be pleased to know the first signs of spring are literally popping up all over the park. Even our migrating geese have already returned.
If you are visiting us this Easter holiday we have fun things planned onsite and as always we’ve highlighted below a selection of fun local activities in the area to also enjoy.
Easter Egg Hunts in North Norfolk

Our very own onsite Easter Egg Hunt will be taking place at the holiday park. Enjoy at your leisure. Hunt for Easter Egg letters placed around the site and win a chocolate egg. We love Pensthorpe. A gorgeous Norfolk-based attraction to enjoy for all ages. Explore magical gardens, walk around the trail at the reserve, watch the birds and wildlife in their habitats. The Egg Surprise Hunt, is an educational visitor trail, based on the counting concept of Orchard Toys’ Egg Surprise mini-game. The playful bunnies featured in the game will be hidden along the trail. Not Your Nest is another fun-filled event involving a treasure map, giant nests, and a hunt for the giant golden egg! There will also be loads of other activities to pass the time such as crafts and pond dipping. Pensthorpe is roughly a 35-minute drive from the holiday park.
Talking of Orchard Toys… their website provides some lovely free downloads for children’s activities. Print them at home and bring them along for your stay. With our great British weather, you never know when you might need a little extra activity to occupy.
